Ron ‘Don’t Say Gay’ DeSantis Yells “Leave Our Kids Alone!” At Man Holding A Pride Flag

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received a standing ovation from a crowd of supporters in Tega Cay, South Carolina, as he yelled at a protestor holding a pride flag as he was being physically removed from a campaign speech.

On Monday, the GOP presidential candidate was answering questions from an audience of 850 supporters when he began mocking President Joe Biden and his grandchild. That’s when an LGBT+ activist unfurled a pride flag and reportedly began shouting slogans at him.

“He’s sitting here talking about all of our children,” DeSantis said as the man unfurled the flag. “I have something to say to him. Why don’t you focus on spending more time with your granddaughter in Arkansas? At least acknowledge he exists. Before you worry about our children.”

A security detail quickly rushed in and physically removed the protester. As he was being escorted out, DeSantis appeared to condemn the flag, saying, “And they shouldn’t be worrying about our children either. We don’t want you indoctrinating our children. Leave our kids alone.” His condemnations were followed by raucous cheers and a standing ovation from the crowd.

Members of the anti-LGBTQ+ extremist group Moms for Liberty attempted to rip the flag away from the protestor’s hands before the security detail escorted him out, according to Florida Politics.

DeSantis’ presidential campaign has supported several ads that have celebrated his anti-LGBTQ+ policies in Florida and have attempted to paint the LGBTQ+ community as a threat to children.
