The QAnon believer who stormed the US Capitol building while wearing a fur-covered horned hat will be given organic meals in jail after refusing to eat regular food provided by the lockup.
A lawyer for Jake Angeli, 33, who also goes by the name Jacob Chansley or QAnon Shaman, said during his initial court appearance in Phoenix on Monday that he was refusing to eat while behind bars because of his extremely restrictive diet consisting solely of organic food, believed to be for religious reasons.
Angeli was charged on Saturday with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
His mother, Martha Chansley, told reporters outside the courthouse that her son needs an organic diet. "He gets very sick if he doesn't eat organic food," she said. "He needs to eat."https://t.co/yQ7cU85WwY https://t.co/EvoudMoi8E

Judge Deborah Fine said the claims were “deeply concerning” and ordered Williams to find a way to accommodate the 33-year-old’s demands.
“We will abide by the judge’s order,” David Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona, later confirmed to ABC 15 Monday, adding Angeli will be provided food to meet his organic diet.
“He gets very sick if he doesn’t eat organic food—literally will get physically sick,” the suspect’s mother, Martha Chansley, told ABC 15.
Prior to his arrest, the QAnon Shaman said he did not believe he had done anything wrong after being part of the mob which stormed the Capitol.
“I’m not really all that worried about it because, in all honesty…I didn’t break any laws. I walked through open doors,” Angeli told ABC 15.
Also speaking to ABC 15, Chansley also defended the actions of her son while he was still wanted by authorities.
“It takes a lot of courage to be a patriot, OK, and to stand up for what it is that you believe,” Chansley said. “Not everybody wants to be the person upfront.”
