President Donald Trump issued a deranged late-night tweet early Wednesday morning filled with laughable spelling errors and very serious and potentially dangerous claims of election theft – which was flagged by Twitter for being misleading:
“We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election,” Trump falsely claimed.
“We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Poles are closed!” he added in the typo-ridden tweet shortly after 1 a.m.

Trump deleted the tweet and quickly corrected his “Poles” typo but did not correct his outrageous lie.
Twitter then blocked the tweet and displayed the following warning to Twitter users: “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”
He deleted and reposted it to fix a poles/polls typo https://t.co/v26vaF9WIL

Twitter responded by ruthlessly mocking Trump’s “poles” typo:
In reference to the president’s since-deleted tweet, @jaketapper: “The fact that the president misspelled polls is just … chef’s kiss.”

“The Poles” are "closed?” Yes, Poland had a pivotal role in President Gerald Ford’s 1976 defeat when he claimed in debate that it wasn’t under Soviet domination. But not sure history is repeating itself tonight.
