An Indiana Restaurant Is Offering ‘Dragside Pickup’ To Customers During Quarantine

One Indiana restaurant is taking curbside pickup to a whole new level by employing drag queens to deliver meals to its customers!

When customers come to pick up their order at Fiddlehead Restaurant in Michigan City, a drag queen will safely bring it to their car.

Owner Aaron O’Reilly, a gay man, told ABC 7 his creative solution to serve his loyal customers isn’t just a gimmick to increase sales.

“This is for fun. This is to put a smile on your face. This is to show that better days are ahead for all of us,” he said. “Be lighthearted and take some pics from the comfort of your car. We are all in this together and we will get through it together.”

“We just thought it was a fantastic idea,” one customer told ABC 7.

“How cool is this when everybody’s sitting inside the house? Everybody’s been cooped up. God bless these guys for doing this,” they said.

“The community here in Michigan City has been so open and loving,” O’Reilly said. “It is really, really heartwarming to see the community step up and come out and have a good time.”
