Chasten Apologizes For “Absolutely Destroying Pete’s Hair.” Says He’s Ready To Try Again

Chasten Buttigieg on Thursday revealed that he has profusely apologized to his husband, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, for “absolutely destroying” his hair earlier this month.

“Since absolutely destroying Pete’s hair (which I said I would and have apologized for profusely, internet!) I have watched multiple YouTube tutorials on haircuts at home,” Chasten tweeted.

“I also ordered a new set of hair clippers,” he said. “I still, however, am not ready to take the plunge. The pressure!”

The first major gay presidential candidate was seen sporting a shaved head earlier this month during a digital interview with Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service.

Buttigieg was also seen sporting his lockdown beard which fulfilled a wish some fans had called for with the #BeardedButtigieg and #BeardEdgeEdge hashtags earlier this year.

In a recent interview with Katie Couric, Pete revealed that he was the one who asked Chasten to cut his hair.

Before Chasten buzzed his hair, Pete says Chasten gave him fair warning that “it’s probably not going to come out the way you’d hope.”

“So there was fair warning, but I said let’s go for it, you’re looking at the consequences,” Pete told Couric.
