Florida’s GOP Governor Wears Single Glove To Briefing – Touches Face With Bare Hand

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appears to have only worn one glove during a coronavirus press briefing on Wednesday afternoon, reports NBC News.

DeSantis joined Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez, and Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber to give an update on the state’s efforts to contain the coronavirus outbreak.

Last week, DeSantis finally issued a stay-at-home executive order in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus for the entire state after weeks of resistance. The order does not bar churches from holding services.

Throughout Wednesday’s briefing, some viewers were left wondering why DeSantis wore one sterile glove on his left hand, only to use the ungloved hand to repeatedly touch his face and glove.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the Florida Department of Health reported 15,456 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the states and 309 deaths.
