Conservative commentator Ann Coulter eviscerated President Trump over his deal to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history without border wall funding, saying it makes him “the biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States.”
“Good news for George Herbert Walker Bush: As of today, he is no longer the biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States,” Coulter tweeted shortly after Trump revealed the details of the deal on Friday.

Coulter, author of the 2016 book “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!,” said she would not vote for Trump again in 2020 without a border wall shortly before the shutdown began on Dec. 22.
“Trump will just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populists for a while, but he’ll have no legacy whatsoever,” she said in a podcast interview with The Daily Caller on Dec. 19, adding that she would not vote for Trump in 2020 if no progress was made on his campaign promise to build a border wall.
Trump later that week said he would not sign a bi-partisan funding bill that did not include $5 billion for a wall along the southern border.
Coulter commended the president earlier this month for his willingness to shut down the government over his border wall demand.
“Though don’t worry, he’ll fold in the end,” Coulter predicted while speaking on the “Mark Simone Show” on 710 WOR in New York.
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) jokingly asked Coulter to tell Trump “it’s OK” to fully reopen the federal government earlier this month.
Dear @AnnCoulter — Please tell the President it's OK to open up the government.
