Just like The Great Yanny vs. Laurel Debate of May 2018, the internet is once again locked in a contentious debate over whether a beloved Sesame Street character dropped an f-bomb on morning television.
The short 6-second clip first made the rounds Thursday on Reddit before spreading across social media.
The video features Grover uttering a line which some people believe says: “That’s a f*ckin’ excellent idea.”
Others believe Grover said, “That sounds like an excellent idea.”
Go ahead. Hit that repeat button again, and again, and again.

Here’s a sampling of responses on Twitter:
Grover did not drop the f bomb. You are all weirdos and need to get your ears checked.

Just saw this on reddit and it blew my mind. Is Grover saying “yes, yes, that’s a f**king excellent idea” or “yes, yes that sounds like an excellent idea.”
I can hear both depending on which one I’m thinking in my head! pic.twitter.com/TAYR6U94Ti

Grover drops the F bomb?!! This is messing with my brain. WHAT DO YOU HEAR? Grover says “Yes, yes, that’s sounds like an excellent idea.” But… I also hear the curse word when I listen for it.
