Actress Lindsay Lohan came to Harvey Weinstein’s defense on Wednesday as allegations of sexual harassment and assault continue to emerge.
“I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now,” Lohan said in a now-deleted Instagram Stories. “I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband,” Lohan said about the film producer’s wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman.
She continued: “He’s never harmed me or did anything to me — we’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop — I think it’s wrong. So stand up.”

Chapman announced on Tuesday that she was leaving Weinstein after 10 years of marriage.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” she said in a statement.
Actresses Ashley Judd, Asia Argento, Rosanna Arquette, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie, joined the scores of women who have accused him of harassment and assault.
In response, Weinstein’s eponymous production company fired him on Sunday.
