Ginger Minj, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, was hospitalized Saturday night after collapsing backstage at the end of a Haters Roast performance in Dallas.
All recovered, the drag queen has shared what happened.
Becuz u have been asking, YES I was in the hospital after our Dallas show, YES I was unsure if I would be released for DC, but I made it! ❤❤

Fortunately, fellow Drag Race queens Acid Betty and Phi Phi O’Hara were by Ginger’s side through it all.
“I suffered some internal bleeding while in Dallas last weekend and passed out after the show,” she told NewNowNext. “So Acid Betty and Phi Phi O’Hara packed my bags, got me out of drag and into boy clothes. By the time I realized what was going on we were in an Uber headed for the emergency room!”
“They sat and literally held my hand the entire time. After watching a team of doctors perform every test known to mankind, they both have plenty of compromising pictures and funny stories to blackmail me for a lifetime.”
Ginger continues to wait for more test results but is already back to work, including having performed at a show in D.C. right after the hospital scare. The performer also has a few shows scheduled with Katya in the U.K., but continues to check in with doctors.
“I’m doing everything I can to take care of myself,” said Ginger. “But I refuse to sit at home and do nothing when there are people depending on me,. My fans are amazingly loyal to me and I can’t let them down.”
