ABC’s Gio Benitez said “I do” to fiancé Tommy DiDario in Miami Saturday.
The ABC newsman was joined by 160 friends and family as the lovebirds exchanged self-written vows before sunset at the historic Walton House, a secluded English cottage framed by tropical gardens, reports People Magazine.
“It’s so special to see how excited our friends and family have been about this wedding,” says Benitez, 30. “It truly is a celebration of love – our own, and what love means in their own lives. We are so moved and humbled to celebrate together.”[RELATED: Hunky ABC News Correspondent Gio Benitez Proposes To Boyfriend In Paris]
“The support and love our family and friends have shown throughout this journey have made the entire experience that much more special,” added DiDario.
After their first kiss as husbands, the duo got the party started with their first dance to Il Volo’s cover of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from Disney’s The Lion King.
The couple was feted by many members of Benitez’s extended news family, including Sam Champion, Shepard Smith, Martha Raddatz and Kevin Ozebek, Benitez’s best man. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, publicist Howard Bragman and Broadway director and producer Richard Jay-Alexander were also in attendance.
Prior to the celebration, the couple had a pre-wedding getaway to Key Largo, Florida, with family and friends.
