“Uncle Of The Year” Wears Princess Dress To Movie So His Niece Won’t Feel Alone

Most 23-year-olds would never be caught dead in a dress, much less willingly to wear a princess dress out in public.

Jesse Nagy is not your typical 23-year-old. In fact, he could be a contender for 2015’s “Uncle Of The Year” award after he squeezed into a princess costume at a movie theater in Florence, Alabama, so that his 4-year-old niece, Izzy, wouldn’t feel self-conscious about wearing hers alone.

Jesse told ABC News that he wanted to take his niece to watch “Cinderella” at the movie theater Sunday night and wore the princess dress, so that she could find the courage to wear her costume out of the house.

A photo of their Sunday outing to the movies was posted anonymously on Reddit, with the caption, “The niece was embarrassed to wear her princess costume to the movies. The Uncle didn’t like that..”

“Sometimes you just have to be a princess. Going to see Cinderella!!” he wrote on Facebook.

Nagy did share his one concern about wearing the dress with his Facebook friends: “If a man wears a dress does he have to shave his chest?”

Apparently, the costume was a friend’s prom dress which he borrowed for the evening.
