Interviewer Asks Rugby Star About His Broken Cheekbone: “It’s Fucked!”

One of our favorite Rugby stars, South Sydney Rabbitohs lock Sam Burgess, suffered a suspected cracked cheekbone and lost a tooth in the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ NRL Grand Final against Canterbury Bulldogs last night.

Burgess clashed heads with the Bulldogs prop James Graham in the opening minute of the match.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports:

Brad Fittler asked the 25-year-old Englishman when he was coming off the field how he was coping with his fractured cheekbone which he suffered in the first minute of play.

“Just got Sam Burgess, how’s the cheekbone mate?” Fittler said.

“It’s fucked, it’s gone,” Burgess said.

The Channel Nine commentary team were unable to pick up Burgess’ response to Fittler’s question, but social media instantly went into overdrive when it was determined exactly what profanity he used.

Watch the interview below (interview starts at the 0:55 mark):

Sam is one of four brothers who all play Rugby for the same team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs. And they are all wickedly hot.

Sam, and his brother Tom, recently made a video to encourage sports fans and athletes to help end homophobia in sports.
