Whitney Houston Lifetime Movie Biopic To Include Vocals By Deborah Cox

Fresh off the stages of what some are calling the party of the year – World Pride Toronto 2014 – Canada’s own, Deborah Cox, announced on Tuesday that she will be lending her amazing vocal talents to the lifetime bio-pic of the late great Whitney Houston. Cox said she was “honored” to be a part of the film on her Facebook page.

The bio-pic will be directed by Angela Basset and will star Yaya Dacosta as Whitney Houston. Dacosta, best know as a former contestant on Americas Next Top Model, will lip sync to Deborah’s vocals.

Cox has recently undergone a shift in her career. Yes, we all know her as the Queen of all things Gay Pride, but she’s recently been back in the studio recording new music and has a new record slated for release winter 2014/2015.

The “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here” singer recently signed with Primary Wave Music, one of the largest independent music marketing, talent management, publishing companies in the united states.

Needless to say, we are all eagerly looking forward to hearing Deborah’s amazing voice singing all those classic Whitney songs that we all know and love! We are ecstatic and think this is an excellent choice as Cox has proven her vocal capabilities to us for over twenty years. As a huge supporter of the LGBT community and a full-on dance diva, and gay ICON in her own right, we will all be tuning in to support our girl! Congrats Deborah!!!
