‘Arrow’ Hunk Slams Russia For Being Homophobic And Living In The “Stone Age”

Just when you thought you couldn’t find another reason to love ‘Arrow’ hunk Stephen Amell any more, the actor publicly announced his support for the LGBT community in a public Facebook post to his 875,000 followers.

Stephen’s Facebook message posted on Thursday, announced a brief hiatus for Arrow during the Olympic Games and also took a moment to slam Russia for its homophobia:

For everyone asking, we’re taking a mini hiatus so people can grit their teeth and suffer through an Olympic games marred by homophobia and mediocre levels of public interest. Back February 26th.

He followed up his original message by showing his support for the athletes and also encouraging them to publicly take a stand against Russia’s ‘Stone Age’ mentality:

Follow up point — Good luck to all the athletes who have worked so hard for so many years and essentially geared their entire life around this opportunity. Hopefully, a lot of them will use their success and a public platform to remind everybody this isn’t the stone age.
