Trailer: ‘GAYS: The Series’ Is A New Gay Web Dramedy Premiering In January

GAYS: The Series, is a new half hour gay web dramedy premiering online in January, about four twenty something gay best friends navigating the tumultuous terrain of NYC.

Here is a brief synopsis from the show’s facebook page:

Huxley, a quick witted waiter and aspiring photographer:

Ben, an attractive introvert who works for a gay non-profit:

Jackson, a promiscuous overgrown rich kid:

Cameron, a dramatic drag queen with a love for old Hollywood:

In this city you always have to look out for yourself; but the little lies, mini compromises and secrets they keep could derail their dreams and destroy their happiness… Growing up, fucking up, and fucking along the way.

We had a chance to speak with Peter Dunn, the show’s Writer, Director and Producer, about his motivations for creating the web series and what he hopes viewers will get out of watching ‘GAYS: The Series‘:

I think I’ve created a show that doesn’t target one uber specific demographic of NYC gay, but many different ones and offers a diverse experience.

I hope that everyone can find a character they can relate to, or hope even more, that they can find bits of themselves in every character. I still don’t think we have anywhere near the amount of strong and exceptional LGBT programming out there as we should, and I wanted to try and make a change in that, however small.

I hope that viewers will also find entertainment and an escape from their everyday lives, and will be excited to follow these characters and learn about their lives.
