Shannon Connors tied the knot to her longtime girlfriend Sandy Stones on Friday in Lake George, New York. Stones and Connors were featured on the front page of the New York Times the day after same-sex marriage was legalized in the state of New York.

The couple, both of whom are from New Jersey, will now be legalized recognized as a married couple in their home state after legal marriages began in the state at midnight on Monday.
