Don’t mess with Suze’s Rights!
On Tuesday evening, Suze Orman, personal finance expert and host of “The Suze Orman Show” on CNBC, was on the Piers Morgan show to share her insight on same-sex marriage and the harmful effects laws like DOMA have on same-sex couples.
As part of Orman’s visit to “Piers Morgan Live,” the author of ten books, was joined by Ryan Anderson, a researcher and writer at The Heritage Foundation, to have a spirited debate about same-sex marriage.
After patiently listening to Anderson’s reasons why same-sex couples should not be given the right to marry, Suze, who came out publicly in 2007 and has been in a relationship with her wife of 12 years, had this to say:
“I feel compassion for you, and I’ll tell you why. I know that you believe very strongly what you believe, but I also know that you’re very, very uneducated in how it really, really works. And I believe from the bottom of my heart that if you really, really understood why the government does need to get involved, why it does need to be legal on a federal level, if you really understood that, there is no way that you would sit there and say what you are saying right now.
