A Great BBC Documentary Entitled “The World’s Worst Place To be Gay” About What Life Is Like For A Gay Person Inside Uganda
Posted By: Adrian Garcia | Feb 7, 2013 at 11:52 am EST
Scott Mills travels to Uganda where the death penalty could soon be introduced for being gay. The gay Radio 1 DJ finds out what it’s like to live in a society which persecutes people like him and meets those who are leading the hate campaign. He speaks with everyday people to discover the extent of homophobia in the country. In one powerful part of the one hour documentary, Mills has a discussion with a group of gay and lesbian Ugandans living together in a slum. They live as outcast; hated by their community, rejected by their families, and constantly harassed and beaten, and through it all one brave Ugandan man declared:
We are born gay, we shall live (as) gays, we shall die (as) gays.
